What is the Newcomers Club?The Lake Barcroft Newcomers Club was established to welcome new residents and acquaint them to the neighborhood and the many great opportunities to get involved. The Club is a wonderful way to make new friends, learn about opportunities and resources at Lake Barcroft that match your interests, and participate in Lake Barcroft activities and social events. Membership is open to all Lake Barcroft residents (owners or renters), whether you've been here for a month, a year, or a decade. Newcomers is for EVERYONE! The Newcomers Club holds social events throughout the year with Club members receiving advanced notice of all events and discounted fees to attend. These events are designed to bring the new residents together along with long-term residents in a fun and engaging social environment. Annual favorites include large events such as the Chili Party, the Barge Party and the Holiday Party. There are also smaller social events to gather where discussions cover numerous topics of interest to the neighborhood. |
2023: A Great Year to Connect
The year 2022 marked a return to normal for the Newcomers Club. Although the year started slowly (thanks COVID hangover/Omicron), the arrival of spring and summer renewed everyone's interest in gathering and socializing with our neighbors. We were COVIDed out of the Chili Party, but we were able to hold every normal event (and even started some new traditions - I'm looking at you Firepit Party). Most importantly, we were able to bring neighbors together and provide opportunities for neighbors new and old to connect. Let's keep this energy rolling into 2023!
This year (2023) has already brought the incredibly successful return of the Chili Party. Keep your eyes peeled for even more great events.
